Fruit and Veg

Steepholding

Ruth and Alex have packed a lot into their smallholding. They run a veg box scheme, delivering seasonal vegetables to Tiverton and the local area, as well as keeping goats and sheep and growing fruit trees to sell. Eggs and rare breed meat can be included in veg boxes.

Producing Dexter beef, lamb, goat and chicken, whilst preserving and protecting the habitats on their farm including coppice and traditionally laid Devon hedges. Meat can be collected from the farm at Nomansland by arrangement.

Temple Farm

A 26 acre sustainable smallholding in Templeton. Supplying 100% grass fed Lamb & Mutton. They primarily farm rare breed Whitefaced Woodland sheep, will soon be breeding the very rare Middle White & Large Black pigs. Old English Goats provide all of the dairy needs of their smallholding. Meat can be collected from the farm or delivered locally.

Jenny’s Farmhouse Cakes

Jenny bakes traditional cakes and treats from her home in Rackenford. She also bakes and decorates bespoke celebration cakes and cupcakes. Every Saturday throughout summer she bakes scones and makes up my cream tea boxes (scones , cream and jam ) which she delivers within the local area.

The Dirty Old Goat Soap Company is a small business located in Uffculme. Myrtle is Chief Spokesgoat and ‘Face’ of the Company. She and the other ‘gals’ provide the raw milk used in the production of the handcrafted soap made by Tracy, general dogsbody and treat provider to the herd.
